If you managed to sit through the ridiculously long Oscars show that happened this Sunday, then I applaud you. I’ll be the first to admit that I slept right through them, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t catch up on everything the next day.

It didn’t take long to realize that Jennifer Garner had turned herself into a meme, and we finally have the answers about this iconic moment that we’ve been looking for.

Without fail, there’s always at least one viral moment at an awards show.

One year, it was Nicole Kidman’s bizarre clapping, which she later explained was because she was wearing expensive, rented jewelry and didn’t want to ruin it. Fair enough.

There was the time Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy, hilariously told her parents to calm down when they were clapping during the Grammys.

It became an overnight sensation, one that we’re still anxiously waiting to hear the story behind.

Anyway, during the Oscars this year, Jennifer Garner was shown in the audience, clapping along like everybody else.

The only difference was that she had a peculiar look on her face.

She seemed to have some sort of epiphany at that moment, and Twitter instantly ran with it.

The Twitterverse was instantly flooded with people guessing what Jennifer was thinking at that very moment.

And it suddenly became all too relatable.

This was definitely me yesterday when I realized I forgot to turn off my flat iron, so I totally get it.

Thankfully, Jennifer didn’t let the speculation go on for too long.

A day after the ceremony, Jen took to her Instagram stories, where she recorded a few voiceovers sharing what she was “really” thinking.

“Congrats to Shape of Water!” she said, adding, “Maybe I should date a fish?”

She even referenced her Capital One endorsement.

“Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, what’s in your wallet?” she said. “Wait, where is my wallet?”

In the third video, she says, “Can’t wait to work with Lena Dunham. Wait, did I sign a nudity waiver?”

And there you have it!

It’s pretty awesome that Jen has such a great sense of humor about the whole thing. And she should — becoming a viral meme is a great honor these days!
